Right, got the motor off, the case is cracked! Tested the motor and it works? Even tried to slow it down with by gripping the hex end with my fingers, but could not slow it down. So why when it tried to apply the brake did it sound as if it was going round and round? Is it a case of the calliper now...

Also does any body no where I can just buy the epb motor from, I've tried a few places including euro car spares but they only sell the complete unit inc calliper.

Yes I do need to scan it for the code if possible, but I don't have the equipment to do it so need to find somewhere or some one that could possibly do it this today so that I could try and get it fixed today with any luck ready for my holiday.

Thanks for the reply, funny you should mention the brakes, I've not long replaced the discs and pads, my first thoughts were a loose pad or calliper, but everything looked ok. The noise is difficult to explain, but probally something like if you had a bar with a few big washers on it and shook it.
