Re: 1.8t... what is the deal with them?
5 Valves per cylinder (to the mass market at least) came from Yamaha's playing in the early 80's - I vaguely recall they'd tried 7 valves and more! but decided as 5 being a good compromise on their FZ750 and FZR1000. At the time, one might argue that bike engine design ethos was all about cramming a...

Re: Hello from Gloucestershire.
Hi! Whereabouts in Glos? I grew up around Gloucester and Stroud and visit the parents occasionally, nice place but I understand why you want 4wd sometimes! Hi there, I'm in Tewkesbury, born just down the road in Cheltenham, did spend a short while living in Nailsworth. I work in Swindon - 40 miles ...

Hello from Gloucestershire.
Hello chaps, I'm new here, currently without a VW but on the lookout for a Syncro Estate. We've had Passat's before as our main family car: B3 2.0 Saloon and B5 1.8T Estate. Both of which piled on the miles with very little fuss or drama. The wifey runs around in a 2.0TD Seat Toledo and I do most of...
