I posted the other week that my passat had a slight knocking sound from the nearside suspension. Well it's now turned into a really loud squeak!!! It even happens when I'm stationary and turn the wheel from side to side!! Any suggestions? It's been into a garage and they can't find any obvious fault...

Got 18x8.5s et 35, get a tiny bit of rubbage but nothing too major - although if I replaced the tyres I'd go for 215s...

In your expert opinions, how much is a 1999 B5 1.8T worth? It's got 125k and FSH, plus 6 months T&T. Completely standard, with full leathers, climate control etc etc.... I've been offered one this morning by a local lad, and the price seems abit too good to be true! Maybe I've lost touch!! :grin:

I feel very lucky!! I've got another plate lying around at home, plus a spare grill, so can be fixed easily.

The same thing happened to my neighbour a few months back and he needed a new bumper, bonnet and windscreen!!

Does anyone know if there are any laws regarding the mounting of number plates? Even with the UK legal plates, I've sinced been stopped and told my plate is too low on the vehicle - I can't find any rules on this though!!

Was driving along happily at about 40mph last night when 2 deer jumped out in front of the sat'... Managed to miss the first one, but the second one smashed the front bumper, went under the car and then got hit by the rear wheel... was a right mess Just inspected the damage today, and it has cracked...

I need a new MAF sensor for my 1.8T AEB. Anyone know the best place to go and what price I should be looking at?

I know of a few people that are running 5x114.3 Jap rims with wobble bolts, so it should be fine. I've seen a site before where they give you the safe measurements for wobble bolts. Try google....

I'd go for RS6s. I have a set for winter wheels and they look great. The suit the B5 nicely

I found the best way is to get your fingers under the side of the rear bench, and lift hard. It normally pops out after a couple of attempts. I've removed mine a lot of times but never damaged the clips, they seem to be pretty strong
