just fitted jom coilovers foR PASSAT. having fun(not) setting up the front ride height so that its not too low and driveable. at the start i had the springs set 40mm from the bottom, and boy she was ON THE GROUND.

Its freakin me out, all my motor factors are listin same part numbers for suspension parts ror the two models, the only thing i can think of is buying aftermarket shortened shocks

Is there any difference in suspension parts between these models. The sport is lower, i guess the springs are different, but what about the struts and the top mounts? i had eibach 30mm springs in my passat estate for 6months. cost £200

now i have fk 55/40 springs in the same car for a cost of £60


my verdict: no difference in handling, same comfort, but better lowerage with the fk.

yeh no visable scoring there. the valves will make marks on the top of the piston. the only scoring you need to worry about is on the bore liners

those wheels need to go silver. otherwise nice car, love rs'6 wheels. suit everything and an all time favourite of mine, but doing no favours painted black.. it may be just me as i hate black wheels

ok gurus. ive just bought and fitted fk 55/40 spring kit for my estate. now gathering by my google image searching the car should be alot lower at the front than the rear, but not in my case, the car is NEARLY level with the back having the slight edge of being ever so slightly lower than the front....

How do you reset then guys? I assume u mean tightn everything whwn you put it on the ground, but how if the wheel is on and not much gap in the wheel arch, cheers.
