Yea also try shifting them slightly in one direction and back, kinda bunching it up again. it may be stretched or worn just a bit thin in one place.

I am gonna do a filter change and seal fix once my garage is empty, its full of poo now after house move and it's just too miserable to ...

Did mine today, thanks for the guide. Mine were the same 1 was blocked with an old battery + terminal cover and the one under the brake servo was packed tight with crud. Re: Tail Light lenses
The reds just look a bit tired is all, I want something a bit crisper, I saw a B6, I think High line it had nice ones, the ones VWnutant has polled look nice but will probably be too expensive,
My est is dark blue so I think a clearer lens will go nice especially one I get the wheels replaced.

Thanks fellas,
Another job I can add to the list then, I'll check the wires too Wayne, don't want it to look like an old ford with all sorts happening at the back end.

Re: New Clutch
Hmmm, I'm in Leeds sadly,
But that's why I won't attempt it myself, too many maybes for my budget.
I am hoping to get Christmas done with and then get it fixed.

New Clutch
I need some advice if poss, I think my Clutch is showing signs of wear, (juddery to pull off and pretty high bite point) Anyway I am resigned to the prospect of it going poof sometime soon, I was wondering what a decent price for a fitted replacement would be? (I won't be doing it myself as once it'...

Tail Light lenses
I have a B5 with the original full red lights, they are pretty plain looking and one has a small crack in it (which is sealed but annoys me everytime I look at it) I like the look of the clear on red that is on the B5.5 I think, I was wondering if they are a straight swap? or if indeed anyone has id...

A mate of mine took his Suzuki to a shop in Morley (leeds) they did him a stick on checkerplate effect rubber strip, his is black but he says they did Silver and other colours. and can custom cut for any shape. My strip is shabby too, so I will get the shop info and take a trip, I'll let you know if...

Re: is this new clutch time
Is it ok once it is moving? Does it judder when you pull off?, (contamination or new flywheel?) A good test is to take it to 30 or 40 then skip gears to 4th or 5th, you should get a bit of acceleration but no real increase in rpm. if there is then the clutch is probably on it's way. I'm not a mechan...

My 1st VW
Hi new here and to VW/Passat, my father inlaw drives one so I always considered it too sensible for me. Anyway I needed a car after coming back to the UK and kinda bought a 2000 TDI estate on a bit of a whim at auction, I gotta say I was wrong, it is easily the best car I have owned for sub $1000 (s...
