Re: have these wheels effected my mpg and performance ?
A few years ago I noticed after changing the wheels on my Tdi back to 16s (205 55 16) for winter from 17s (225 45 17) I found I was getting around 4 mpg more, my solution the following spring I fitted 205 50 17 tyres instead and that seems to give the same mpg as with the 16s

Re: No boost till 3000 rpm
Sounds like either the EGR valve is stuck open or the control valve for it is holding it open and smothering the engine with exhaust gasses

Re: Has my waterpump had it **video**
If you take out the thermostat you will be able to see the waterpump impeller without removing the pump itself, this works on PD engines too, lot quicker than than taking off timing belt to get water pump out

Re: Boost problem b5 115 pd
Sounds like your EGR valve is stuck open or the vac valve that controls it is Fkd (looks same as N75 turbo control valve) youll find it over by the fuel filter, blank off the EGR and see if that sorts it

Re: tracking ??
Car is standard sport model, but looking at Autodata tracking figure is the same over the range, standard, sport, heavy duty, 2 and 4 wheel drive, if you alter the ride height you will alter the camber and tracking, the camber isnt easily adjustable where as the tracking is, keeping the wheels point...

Sounds like the water pump impeller has either broken up or come loose inside the water pump, common thing, always replace it when doing timing belt, had one like that last week
