Re: Swapping in some leather seats

I've done it! The rules are... - Stick with the interior from an estate - the saloon door cards are different. - Get an interior from a 2005 - 2008 car. After that the airbag connectors changed. - Re functionality, your car won't have the wiring to support seats with more functions. My new interior ...

Re: What did you do to your Passat today?

Today (well, yesterday I guess  ) I let Jaraz loose on my B6 with VCDS. That man knows his stuff, coded my MFSW & steering module, Highline instruments, locking, coming home lights, heated seats  In the afternoon I installed the Kufatec heated seat loom, not a bad job at all. Just...

Ah good old google translate. I would guess it was written in Polish originally. Irrespective of the words, 30 mins with a rubbish sack would make those photos look better! Nice headrest covers, must get me some of them :-bd

Re: SEL Half Leather Seats

Photos should help... The seat loom of the heated seats. This one is the passenger side. A non-heated seat only has 2 wires (occupancy sensor, pins 6 & 7 green & brown wires), so 3 extra on the heated seat. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/paddy2bsure/WP_20150221_018_zps3lhpmklr.jpg Ku...

Re: SEL Half Leather Seats

So your heated SEL seats will have a loom that hangs down and plugs into the receiving plug in the floor of the car. The few wires from those floor plugs get removed and then plug into the Kufatec plug. 3 of the new loom wires go to your new climate unit, 2 go to the fusebox, 1 goes to the CECM, the...

Re: BXE Engines in B6

I have a BXE, it's done 135,000 miles with no problems, likewise my Dad has a Seat Altea XL with the same engine, 100,000 miles on his now with no problems. So they're not all bad, but some of them definitely were! Likewise I guess not all 2.0TDI's are bad, but enough of them were to put a lot of ba...

Re: how to remove a parrot ck3100?

Parrot CK3100 removal, done a fair few at this stage. First step is to remove the radio, which on a B6 means prising off the surrounding trim, then undoing the 4 Torx screws. With the radio out, there will more than likely be an interface loom, so remove that (unplug the mulitlock from the back of t...

Re: KPH TO MPH VCDS

UK law says a speedometer must be in mph & kph. The rest of europe says kph only so no, european cars don't display mph at any time. European B6's will display mileage & trip all the time, whereas only UK cars flip onto kmh once you're rolling.

£29? That's a bargin, do you have a link to the eBay advert? Just to see if there is any part numbers I need to look for? Thanks Chris Part number 3C2820045A. I paid that from a breaker, he had just one. There's quite a few on there that have the heated front windscreen function too. I avoided tho...

Can the heated seats be enabled in advance of my install? I'd like one VCDS visit, and my current lack of functioning horn  is bothering me slightly!

Re: SEL Half Leather Seats

I have SEL full leather seats which are heated. My car is (well, was) a boggo SE, so I got one of these off ebay: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/ZzsAAOSw1vlUtmPe/$_57.JPG It's identical to what I have, except for it has the heated seat dials. I've ordered - but not yet received - the bit o...

Re: Eibach Sportlines - Very disappointed!

Assuming you bought the kit for a 2.0TDI Estate 4Motion, the spring rates are as follows: F: 1180kg, R: 1230kg The rates for a 2.0TDI Saloon (non 4Motion) are as follows: F: 1180kg, R: 1130kg So the fronts are identical, the rears are certainly higher-rated for the 4Mo estate. Lastly, every set of E...

Mine takes under a mile to notice some heat; it warms up quicker than most cars I've owned. Is yours slow then? Where does the gauge sit on the motorway?

Re: 'Engine fault garage' 2007 passat estate help !!

If all the guy did was to reset the code I'm not too surprised it reoccured again straight away as he's done zero to address the actual problem which results in the code. You have an immobiliser issue most likely, and generic code readers & clearers can't interrogate the system properly. Have a ...

Re: B6 Interior Swap

Just to follow up on this, I ended up with a late 2006 Sport leather interior, which went in very easily, all plugs were like-for-like. The Sport seats are so much more supportive than the regular ones, so worth it there alone. I have the same functions as previously, so the only electric bits are t...
