I personally use a steam cleaner, you will never get anything better for leather, cleans amazing and give leather the two main things to keep it good, moisture and heat.

If product wise Glipton stuff is good, products from Dr Leather is amazing an products from LTT are outstanding (but expensive).

Engine bay after cleaning with APC, used tardis on paint work and some Iron X as well. Im sure its just silicon and all you are doing it filling the scratch with that, over time it will wash out.....
