So clearly I'm gonna need to upgrade the clutch. My question to you all is, has anyone tried fitting the v6 2...

Re: AVF turbo loss

I had already checked that pipe and found it to be a little loose in there, so I've clamped it and it has improved the brakes a little but it still does it every now and again.. As for the power loss, I'm gonna be looking into that today.. I'll let you know how I get on

Thanks for the reply karl

Then the following day it would be at 2.5k or 3.5k!! Or not at all this was paired with poor brakes (hard pedal). I'm now at the po...

Re: 1.8T cut out, battery light came on!

Possibly battery/alternator issue, do you have access to a multi meter? Check the voltage of the battery with the engine off, you should have 12v then check again with it running you should have around 14v.. If not your alternator could be at fault.. Also the alternators are fitted with a one way cl...

Re: Back To Hot Start Issue

Check your oil on your dipstick if it's thin and runny your tandem pump may be leaking fuel into your oil, and not feeding your injectors enough.. Hence the jumping

Worth a try, it's not uncommon for the tandem pumps to leak

Re: B5.5 clutch master cylinder

This may come in useful to somebody else one day.. Just to let you all know I did sort this... To get the clutch master cylinder out the alloy pedal bracket has to be moved forward, removal isn't necessary. To do this there are four bolts, one is inside pointing up towards the dash above the clutch ...

I've got the thing undone, however it looks as though I'm going to have to remove the pedal box to get it out.. But it doesn't look that simple as 1 of the 3 bolt...
