be carefull not to have the check valve behind the bumper rebar break. due to the almost quarter of a century now the b3 equipped cars have a high tendency to " explode" if looked at to hard when removing the front bumper form the body I broke mine last week when I took the front end apart...

the estates are more prone than saloon to have leaks on the most rear side windows.. is the outside trim piece on the "C" pillar? the joint of the roof support and quarter panel is there. there are 2 holes for mounting this trim piece. if missing; the exposed openings will let the water in...

here in Canada I am always looking for the " euro" parts to put into my b35i salon.
these blanks as you call them are readily available in a variety of colors.
I even have some syncro ones for trade.

I am not sure I follow the conversation but the original poster wants to use a magnetic pick sensor inside the tranny and a mechanical cable attached ot the pick up to drive a speedo cluster?

you know? here in Canada and usa; we drivew on the opposite side of the road; but; now this attempt of yours means we also go the opposite way when it comes to driveline swaps....

most people here go from autotragic to manual swaps. not the other way round..

I HAVE HAD 5 OR 6 PASSATS BY NOW. NEVER DID I HAVE THAT BATTERY HOLD DOWN BOLT SNAP ON ME.
MAYBE IT HAS TO DO WITH ME HAVING 3 CARS ON THE DRIVEWAY AT ALL TIMES WITH NO LICENSE PLATES AND ONLY 1 BATTERY FOR THEM TO SHARE.
SO I USE AND REUSE THAT BOLT LIKE 10 TIMES A MONTH...

usually i dislike the b4 platform in general; but this wagon is making me rethink that.

the vaccun assit on the firewall?
or the rear axle brake proportioning valve?

cool neat trick about that wiper motor cover.
I never knew such thing existed.
here in Canada and usa they put a piece that covers the motor from the base of the windshield area ot the lip on the firewall.
I like this motor cover better.
