Re: multi function steering wheels
Oh that's right I forgot you operated the CC from the stalk and selected the speed from the MFSW, I think people are getting confused with the OE stalk which does it all on the stalk if you don't have a MFSW and a 3 spoke wheel.

Re: multi function steering wheels
Why do you need the stalk does the MFSW not have the cruise control on it or is that how Skoda's are?

Re: multi function steering wheels
Bit beyond me I'm afraid as I bought the car with it all standard.
Beauty about the MFD as well though is you can add inputs for IPod, rearview camera and DVD Player etc.
Would be nice if all that stuff could be controlled by the MFSW.

Re: multi function steering wheels
I think to display the radio also you would need full FIS which can also do NAV, look at Bora Highlines the CC and Radio controls is standard.

creak, bubble sound, a pillars
Hi, Need a bit of help with my 04 130 TDI Sport. When turning either left or right slowly I get a noise on either side from around the A pillar wing mirror area? It is not when the car is loaded into turning but unloaded? i.e if I turn left the front right is loaded and I get a sound from the unload...

Re: Help with new passat
Are you talking about diff oil? If so I am not sure but would always use VW O.E or equivalent it should say in the owners handbook. For the engine oil I always use VW dealer stuff Quantum Platinum last time I bought some, it is 505.1 spec which is what is required, do not use oil that is not to spec...

Re: Power steering noise please help!!
x3 I did the same as you and changed the tensioner only to find the new one bouncing around, found out about the alt pulley after and then it started chirping.
Alt pulley was £50 fitted.

Re: Help with new passat
The 4motion doesn't have the Haldex system it has the Torsen system as used in Audi Quattro, full time 50/50 4wd as opposed to electronically controlled. Much better system in my opinion and easier maintained, I think all it requires is the diff oil changing. I searched everywhere for a 4mo estate a...

Re: URGENT HELP REQUIRED
Are you sure it is the tensioner itself? If it is bouncing around it could be the alternator pulley seizing which is quite common and that makes a noise.

Re: EGR Adaption on a B5.5
Well just been for 30 mile spin and the light still isn't on hmm? Well all I can say is it's great hardly any smoke now on WOT, better response / smoother and mpg is up approx 4 on previous, was around 42 for the same run and is now 46 and I gave it more beans than usual. It also seems to rev out be...

Re: EGR Adaption on a B5.5
Interesting thread, I did this yesterday and just blanked the pipe off with a bolt but mine is Jan 04 and hasn't thrown the light? Does it throw a light straight away? Haven't been able to check mpg yet as my CTS is shot and mpg is all over the place, will be fitting that the weekend and will see if...

Re: Airbox clips
Its only one missing but I can hear it, I thought it was the snorkel as the self tappers were missing on the front panel so I have refitted it all correctly and it still makes a little noise but not as bad.
Cheers I'll check the dealers.

Airbox clips
Hi
Does anyone know where to get or have a couple of airbox clips for a 130 2004 TDI Passat?
I have one missing and it is making an awful roar at certain revs.
Many thanks.

Many thanks, great mod, sick of the FM transmitter.
Is there a way to remove the radio without the proper keys?
Cheers

Re: AUX input on a standard Gamma Radio for less than a five
I have a question, it may be a stupid one but hey! I have soldered the 3.5mm plug with 5 wires but looking at the diagram the ground is also cut to the radio? Does it need to be cut or can it be tapped in as the lives will do the cut out? If so does this mean I need to solder 2 wires to the ground o...
