Found this in the garage. Harness adaptor plus amp booster is a lot to fit in behind the stereo. Re: fitting a on off switch in dash
Not done this, but there are a few blank panels under the hazzard\heated window switches for mounting the switch. Have a look in a wet foot well thread, as the ECU cable runs through the bulkhead, but couldn't tell you where...tracing the wires back from the CCM ( passenger footwall) may also heed r...

Re: Tools thread??
They do look like a better option but I find cable ties do the job just as well. I have used my own bolts and washers in the past but it's not easy. These ones with the clips in place seem like a good choice. Yeah, mine are currently cable-tied on, but it's going to the garage for a CV boot at the ...

not exactly tools, but just found these on ebay, and hopefully a better solution than the original fitment. Really havn't done much, but it's MOT time again...did a quick check before dropping it off and O/S side repeater wasn't working, and i've got a fog light out. (N/S) - i assume i'm supposed to have two. but not fussed about a bulb, and the side repeater is a faulty wire somewhere - i worked after a l...

Re: Locking door issues
Did u find the problem with the control locking as mine is doing this Doing what exactly..? A problem with the central locking could be a number of issues: Dry solder in the locking mechanism, broken wire at the door hinge, corroded pin in the connector block, water in the CCM, the list goes on...t...

Got a cheque back from the tax man, so i was looking at getting a bench drill press for the garage. Been looking at the Clarke range from Machinemart, but wondering if anyone could recommend brands to look for or avoid, as i also look for second hand units. Thanks Looking at this one at present, htt...

Re: Locking door issues
You could try thumping the door, just below the handle, whilst someone is working the fob...just don't thump too hard. - it's worked for me in the past! Also does the handle feel stiff when you try it? as there is a little wire to the handle with an adjuster that may have not been set correctly. -al...

Having changed a bathroom light pull switch. - If you're not 100% confident, get someone in to do it! It's not as simple and old one off, new on in.... The instructions you get with the new unit may not be that clear, and the layout of the terminals may be different. i also found that the mounting h...

Re: Ash tray access
I've done the centre console removal, and is quite an "easy" job. ie only screws and wiring looms to undo, but it's getting to the screws in the first place. The rear section comes off first, then the small section with the gear stick. My front ashtray is loose, and i wanted to fix it, but...

Re: Which Fuse controls the Wing Mirror adjuster???
yeah, just dug mine, out and no icon on it either. (but mine don't fold, only adjust electronically) but i also dug out my haynes manual, and looking at the electrical wiring diagram for the mirrors, there are 3 fuses. One for the mirror control switch, and then wiring for the mirrors themselves go ...

Re: Which Fuse controls the Wing Mirror adjuster???
The mirror adjustment is like a speech bubble with 4-way arrows inside, the folding mirrors are a speakbubble with a left to right arrow underneath...sadly no info on the actual location. http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w578/little_geoff/F23DC20A-47A4-44DF-ABFC-A4929381DBDA_zpsv248dvxc.jpg http:...

best to put the seats down too.. :hyst I lined the boot with a couple of sheets of MDF when i picked up a very heavy table-saw. Made getting the thing in and out much easier, and it's doens't ruin the boot liner of back of the seat. http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w578/little_geoff/FE1FEDA0-EC37...

Mpg ? I got 188mpg!! :hyst *going down-hill on the M4 towards Maesteg/Bridgend. It was around the 45mpg mark according to the MFD with the CC set to 70-ish. (So probably around the 40 mark) I got 465 miles to a tank with my 20 minute daily commute though, so although it's not what it should be, it ...
