Cheers, Just some wet and dry first, then polish with cutting pad and polish then a finishing pad and light polish..

Hi, As baby no 3 is on the way it was time to sell my Audi A4 cab and get something more practical. That's great that the carbon clean worked.. I had the same issue on my wife's 110 Octavia, although I did the Mr muscle treatment and actuated the VNT on the turbo with a handheld pump..
Those engines are great and respond well to a tuning box..

I had my lowers bumpers and door blades colour coded on a A4 I had, it was done 8 years ago and it's still 100%

£22 on a sensor seems to of sorted it.. starting to love the car now.. very capable.. and my past 2 cars have been VAG 1.8T's so the power delivery is very different and also the 4wd is seems great..

It would just be the timing belt then? it was done 25k ago, so hopefully it wouldn't of just skipped a tooth..

The VCDS lead I use is actually a serial lead and works through a USB convertor, so hopefully that will work..

So is it a case of reading the software coding from the old CCM and changing the coding on the new CCM to match?

Under the passenger side in UK.. I removed the front seat so I could get access. Just lift the carpet back and unlug the ccm, then strip the black loom tape off the loom and start checking the wiring nodes.. I cut and soldered every one I came across as they were green with corrosion..

I had a similar issue with my superb. Door lights worked and interior lights worked when switched on but not when the door opened. I found corroded wiring around the ccm, just check each of the wiring nodes and cut back and solder any corroded connections.. It sorted mine and they are now 100%.

I have similar issues, The wife has a 2001 2.0 petrol sport estate, the CCM was buggered when we bought the car, I had to rewire most of the connectors and replaced the CCM with one from a golf / bora, everything work bar the rear boot lock, it stays on the half catch most of the time, it does close...
