If it's nots firing at all off of fresh fuel in the carb you must have a spark issue. hi, that's is a nice old wagon, I doubt there's many about in that condition. when you try to start it does it turn over okay but just not fire? im no expert on cars but have had plenty of old dubs so I may be able to help.

i actually bought it for the missus who used it as her daily when she had our baby year and a half later i upgraded her to a b4 Passat and then the b2 was mine. instantly got slammed and a few little bits, still much more to do though.

ive already replaced fuse in glovebox with a new one and it makes no difference, also the fuse in the stereo is fine as it works in other cars. someone must know something?
