VCDS code reading.
Hi guys As the title suggests. Is there a section to post this? I have done a read and have a print out. Long story short I was driving along the Motorway yesterday morning in cruise around 70mph. Engine light came on and the engine didn't want to rev much past 2k. Limped to the hard shoulder and tu...

Re: Adrian Flux Insurance a Big Thanks
I had 7 years NCB. :-) 4 on a car, then I transferred the policy to a van for a further 3 years. Then when I went back to a car again. I was told I couldn't transfer it back to a car policy. WHAT A LOAD OF poo! I phoned half a dozen companies and they all said the same thing. I had to start all over...

Adrian Flux Insurance a Big Thanks
Just thought i'd share my experience.
Just insured with them and even with all my mods declared (Not that many tbh) they were still cheaper than anywhere else.
Thanks a lot.
I'm still astonished at the amount i had to pay but that can't be helped.

EPB Noisy?
Hi guys As the titles says all of a sudden they have become very noisy when operated. I'll get out there tomorrow and see which one is the problem. Would this eventually cause my parking brake to stick on, is it an early warning? My car is a 56 plate with 77k on it. Not that many i don't think for i...

Re: EPB failure
Hi guys,
I think one of my motors are on their way out.
All of a sudden when the parking brake is applied it's very noisy.
I think i may have a go at doing the repair as per the very detailed write up.

On a normal manual vehicle it was maintain the speed on a flat or hill.
However not on a decline. But because you have DSG it will use the gearbox on a decent as well.

Sometimes it's mold or bacteria built up form condensation.
You can get a product that you set off like a bug bomb in the cabin.
You turn on the A/C and set it to recycle in the vehicle.
Then it should be a lot better.

Re: Chinese head units - any good?
Hi fennman, Sorry to hear it fella. I'm sure there was a screen shot on this tread saying win/android combo units arent as good. I know that's nothing to do with a faulty gps sd card. I would have prefered to go Genuine RNS but to get ipod and bluetooth its a joke! For a 1/3 less u can get and all i...

I used Black smoke. The map cost me £45 and the cable £15 off ebay. Worked a treat. Car feels much better. I don't know what sort of power i now have but it def feels a lot better. Supposed to be between 160-170bhp. :D Well worth it in my opinion. Do a search, there was quite a good thread about t...

It doesn't matter hat crime people commit nowadays. The punishment isn't harsh enough. If your found carrying a knife then you should automatically get jail time. Unfortunately our system is already too over populated and they can't take anymore in. Just build an island and let them kill each other....

I was gonna go RNS route but for the money i would have to spend i think this is better for the money. What do you reckon? I only have the half mfd.
I'm not bothered about a cd drive as everything is on my iphone.
I've been told the pioneer is quite laggy.
I know the rns would hold its value but analogue radio dies in 4 years so I'm not sure if they would.

Re: RNS510 version R
I am torn as to what to do.
The RNS would cost £530 for an R version
Then a Can Bus upgrade £60
Then a bluetooth module £130
Or the App radio does it all for £300
It's a big price difference..
