Well they found two applications in the system that were unsafe so changed the unit. This makes you think doesn't it? What else can the find?

Finally got the car back from VW - almost two months without it - and all is well with the car. They changed the thingie under the front bumper and so far so good. I did suggest that two months ago though!!

The ACC learns that you are on the other side of the road. Nothing to do with Sat Navs or GPS. I spent a month driving around Europe with neither option fitted and we go on fine.

VW have grounded the car on safety grounds and taken it back to see what the problem is

Finally some action from VW. There have been a lot of incidents with the adaptive cruise and the brakes coming on without warning. VW tried to download a number of software updates but the car wouldn't take all of them. It needs to go back in for another try.

Yeah it has a mind of its own sometimes and every now and then the car goes into limp mode for no reason

Pressed the 'SET' button for the cruise today and the brakes slammed on! Scary stuff.

Mine keeps slamming on the brakes for no apparent reason. Happened again today on the outside lane of the motorway when passing a truck. It also does it sometimes when passing a car that has just entered a slip road

Anyone having issues with the adaptive cruise?

I actually forgot to mention that I really miss the 4x4 of the last car!

More news on this buckled wheel thing .... I now have three buckled wheels and I still haven't hit a pot hole. No marks on the wheels and no marks on the tyres, inside or out, just a buckle!

Its a rear wheel and the buckle is, as you correctly say, on the inside. So is this to be expected of these wheels?

Hi, I have a 2012 TDi140 4motion Highline fitted with an RCD510 and I have silly issues with it. It keeps defaulting to media player on start up even with no phones connected. It can also default to media during a call. Pisses me off!!

I dont know how much Dipetane costs in the UK but in Ireland you can get 6 liters for €30 (about £24). Thats enough for 1200 litres of fuel. You would need to run about 80 treated litres through your engine before you see any benefit. Its the emissions angle that we tend to use it for in Ireland ...
