Well the pipe going to the EGR has been replaced at some point so I would be locating where it goes and checking it for holes as it seems to be routed in the wrong place, it may have rubbed through, I had these recently where my engine cover cut a hole in my anti shudder. Also if you can get a pic ...

So I took the engine cover a took some photos and cannot for the life of me work out how to upload them from my Ipad :neutral: The egr valve and surrounding area had a lot of crud ( old oil by the looks of it ) over it !!! Guess I will clean the engine so I can see if there are any split hoses etc ...

Don't know if it has a tuning box fitted,but does seem lively for a big diesel estate car !

Hi my 2005 130 Passat has Emissions Workshop ! And eml light is constantly on. Had it read for fault codes and none found ! Eml was cleared but but warning and eml came back on the next day. Car seems to drive fine so I am at a loss As to what it can be. I was wondering if there was any forum member...

Are the front jacking point sill covers the same on a saloon and an Estsate ?

Just wondering when VW started fitting the dreaded DPF on the Passat ?
Also when did they start fitting catalytic converters on the diesel models ?
