Re: Standard Speaker Specification

I find the standard speakers to be very good - The front to rear seperation is quite good on the doorcards because of the rubber seals that fit snuggly to the edge of the speakers. Also there components - I'd be sceptical of replacing them with 2 or 3 way speakers as that moves the tweeter away from...

Re: Which registration to get?

Personally I'd go for P1 VAG - leaves the option open for the next car. In case you get an Audi, seat or skoda

I've got a DUB plate - can see it in my sig. Was nice and cheap at £250 - its short too only being a 6 character including a figure 1

Re: Tyre Woes

MOT will just check the condition of the tyres not the actual size - maybe check they are the same size on each side but thats as far as I think they'd check.

Fair play to them sorting you out with the new set - nice to see a company own up and set things straight !

Kenwood head unit - Original CD Changer ?

Hi all, is it possible to run the standard 6 disk changer when I fit my Kenwood headunit ? I've seen plenty of links on the web for fitting aftermarket changers to standard head units but cant find anything for the other way around  Cant find any adapters etc. If not I can always hook up the i...

Re: how low can u go?

Theres enough coils to wind them down until its sat on the floor ! On the front that is, on the rear you cant go very low - only because of the size of the springs I've got are a bit too big (FK Sportlines) To get mine as low as I'd like I've removed the adjusters and also the rubber top hats so its...

You can't knock the greatest shopping trolley of all time - Renault 5 GT Turbo Second only to the Mk1 Golf as the best hot hatch ever IMO. And arguably a damn sight quicker given the original ingredients :D But I am slightly biast :D http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Big-G-R5/snettsmall.jpg

Re: PINSTRIPING...*Custom Designs*..pics here

Was just thinking the same ! I thought it might look cool around and on each side of the VW badge on the bootlid - only a few inches each side, nice and subtle. Yer that would look cool... (not for me though, its sucks sometimes to be de-badged! hahahaha... Need to think of something) Under or arou...

Re: I feel like a kid at Christmas!

Gotta say to anyone using a Chamois leather to dry their car - Get a proper car drying towel

I'll never go back - quicker, no streaks and much nicer finish - also kinder to the paint.
