is the c/m for gearbox in the same area as ccm or drivers side

just finished at last yea that m14 spline bit such a big head for such a small bolt , the extension bar set up was crazy just to get to the heads square on and used air impact wrench in the end as they were way to tight

Hi all normally on the b5.5 forum but have a question as i tried to search and it says i cant search ??
my brother in law has a b6 2.0 tdi my08
is the pads and discs all round easy job same as my b5.5 or do i need other bits
they look similar

Check the coolant flange on the back of the head (cts housing) , both my alt passats had leaks here ,

i went to a local bearing supplier as these o rings are a hard size to get , ecp only had radiator orings , gsf the same vw dont do just the orings im sure i tried TPC and same as vw . If your lucky some kits have the size if i remember right is 28mm x 4mm

got second hand relay and all is good , well at the moment
and just done all the door seals as the rain this week was a bit hard and a little came in drivers side , did it without taking door cards off just propped them up

yes will be interesting for sure ,
reminds me of 90's cars where you could buy a cheap watch with ir and capture the signal then go back next day and open it up , not that i did that for any gain mind ,

is it blowing from the expansion tank hard to do but look underneath if poss when its doing it
have you got a sniff check kit ?
and check oil for contamination at the dipstick

agreed if its platic replace the flange as well yes defo ,
but buy the look on the piky its flange is metal but hard to see

the hose that pik points to is a quick connector and they have o rings inside , eurocarparts has o rings that fit
but check to see if it isnt the housing leaking , i used a mirror and torch with engine up to temp

well ive had a dam good nose around pulled all the dash wiring out and got the multimeter on them and all good with no sign of water ingress via the ecu seal so pushing the fuse may of been a fluke ? so back to basics start at the battery and readings were strange on the + bat terminal to connector ...

mm strange it happend again this morning
but instead i pushed the fuses inside the car and it started without me getting vcds plugged in
now looking at the wiring to see if that is the problem but not having much luck finding diagrams so i think its gonna be a long day

thanks for that reading a bit more on various forums indicate a bad relay as it can cause epc light to play up
but to check the wiring is it pins 6 + 9 on relay should have 12v all the time ?

Have you given the fan a wack when ac is on to see if it comes on ? Mind you pinkies tho ,
