Re: W8 dead and staying dead

Seen this car at edition 38 last year and it was one of my favorites! Such a shame. Maybe the V6 bi turbo from the b5 S4?

Re: THE 312mm Carriers thread !!

Fitted mine today with new discs and pads all round, not bedded in yet but the pedal feels alot better. Another plus is the discs don't look like rusty bottle tops through the wheels anymore!

Picked mine up from a 54 plate v6tdi for all of £40! Bargain!

Re: Pd130 gearbox problems!

The crunch is all the time, i bought the car with the gearbox fault and was diagnosed at a vw specialists as a worn synrco. I can take all the parts off the donor car so that should be no problem, only really want the v6 box as it has a taller top gear and i do alot of motorway miles.

Pd130 gearbox problems!

The 5 speed gearbox on my 01 pd130 has seen better days and the syncro on 2nd gear is crunching like mad, i'm looking to upgrade the box anyway as ive just had it remapped and want a better clutch so i'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone and put a new box in aswell. Question is will a 6 speed v6tdi clutch/...

Re: Drink!!!!

I like a decent vodka, russian standard or finlandia for me. I stopped drinking lager, beer and cider years ago as it always made me feel bloated and get the hangovers from hell!

Re: Drink!!!!

I recently had a bottle of lagavulin 16, nice but very peaty. Tried penderyn which is a welsh malt whisky and i must admit its one of the best ive ever had. Goes down a treat! Nice and light with a butterscotch aftertaste.

Changed the cts today. Much swearing!

Had the usual problem of temperature gauge playing silly buggers so thought i'd swap it for a new one since its a nice easy fix. 3 hours later, bloody fingers and head to toe in muck i finally got the old one out! What a bar steward! It was welded in! First the plastic clip snapped so had to try get...

They are 235 40 18s with 32mm offset so went straight on with no spacers. They sit just on the edge of the arches.

Yeah it looks like an A6 allroad at the minute! Saving my pennies for some lowering springs and bilsteins. I'm on a buget so its a bit at a time.

Re: New Zealand's Duke Axial engine

Read about this a while ago, its meant for motorbikes as it has no gyroscopic force when giving it a fistfull. And it weighs about half of an average 600 engine, also can be put in the very bottom of the frame to help the handling.
