Hi I have a b6 estate 2006, would like to buy a cage suitable a medium size dog (collie). All the ones I've seen online are full width and take up most of the boot! Does anyone have any alternative solutions? ie that use one side or are shaped. So I can still put a pushchair, wellies, kids toys etc ...

Thanks for the link. The kit is expensive,especially with mechanic time etc,considering I'm likely to sell the car in the next 2 years,I think I might risk it for a biscuit. If the oil pump does go,I can pop a lower mileage replacement engine in for not much more additional cost.

Sounds like a minefield. I'd be looking for the low tax bracket and more efficient one. How is the best way to distinguish between the two?

Is there a way of identifying which b6 and b7 passats have a weak oil pump?

Why skoda superb? Prices look similar,much prefer passat look 2011+

under the uv it shows lots of what seems to be 'splatterings/splashings' of coolant, as if it has sprayed from somewhere, but there is nowhere obvious as yet
