On all local short journeys I've worked out 20£ gets me no more than 100 miles, cabbie miles. The display shows ridiculously low average consumption

Hi ill try and keep this simple. I feel my mpg return is low and ive also noticed the temperature gets to 90 as it should but then sometimes drops. at times on a real short journey the engine fan comes on in this weather ( this journey is literally 5 mins from cold start). Your right about the hose from motor factor that's my only option i think. Hopefully if i can get one to slide over the existing black tube (bit of boiling water to soften maybe) ill then cable tie at both ends and see how it goes.

I bought both the connectors but whilst trying to insert them the hose (18) has broken and now there is a gap of around 5cm, so i need to think of a way round this! If i buy a hose length then its too many connectors thats if i can source the correct ones. The other alternative im thinking is use so...

I drive b7 estate and pressures suggested are 36 all round. Roads aren't great where i live east lancashire but im finding the car ride very rough and hard. What tyre pressure are you running on.
Is it what's stated on the petrol flap?
Also what average mpg & miles driven does your trip no 2 show.

Just trying to work out as my 170bhp feels thirsty.
