Re: diesel fuel tank mileage??
The dash tells me I am getting around late 40's early 50s on my daily drive. 15 miles, mix of 30, 40, 50 +60 mph single track roads. Never really paid much attention to how many miles to a tank but last May bank holiday I went down to Devon and back (about 350'ish miles), towing our caravan, 2 adult...

Re: Suspension options
Ended up having VW heavy duty rear springs fitted. It has lifted the rear a little when the car is unloaded but I dont think it's enough that makes it look too much different. But, when towing and or fully loaded boot it sites just right. No more grounding out.

Re: Suspension options
Still got this ongoing, need to sort something. Been quoted £1k for set of heavy duty rear springs, shocks and stock fronts. Is the Sport model naturally lower than standard? Looking at the Eibach Pro kit they are saying it comes with 30mm front and rear drop. Would that be lower than what my car i...

Thanks for the info guys. I did try and clean the holes to try and get some screws in there and no good. Ended up cleaning it all up and sticking the plate on, job done.

Re: Rear Number Plate Issues
Not sure I can open them up much more, there is already something in the hole, looks a bit like a rawl plug (I know it's not but dont know how else to explain it). Dont know if drill into this much more it will damage that and or the boot itself.

Rear Number Plate Issues
So, I had a go at fitting my private plate last week, tried to remove the current plate and both nylon screws snapped. Got them out and the old plate off and now I cant find any screw that will fit the current holes. I really dont want to drill new holes and I would rather not stick the plate on if ...

Re: What did you do to your Passat today?
Made a shopping list of things I need to buy.
Bought a replacement gear knob and gator
Transferred my new number plates to the car so I will be fitting those tonight with new surrounds so I don’t have to drill my new fresh plates.

Re: Suspension options
bigger wheels is right, I went from 16s with 55 profile, to 19s with 35 profile and the rolling radius was increased and the ride height of the car was raised by a whole inch. so the bigger the wheels the higher the car Sorry, not disputing that side of it, of course that is correct. I was puzzled ...

Suspension options
Hi, my '07 estate grounds out on speed bumps and sometimes on some twisty roads. Also, when towing the back wheels are lost in the rear arches, as much as I love this look, it's not practical! Any suggestions on which shocks and springs to get for a stiffer ride? I understand self-levelling was an o...
