Re: Switching off alarm

I had an issue with the comfort control module and I was camping for a couple of days, so I just pulled the bit that the alarm sounds out and never put it back in :)

Re: Brake pad warning light

I have the B5.5 highline Note this is my daily, but it's done 223,000 miles, so I don't want to be putting the best of the best on it (I know you shou...

Hi guys, Merry Christmas, hope you're all having a good one! I have a small issue which started today and has happened twice, I have a pd130, I was joining a motorway earlier today so had my foot down and I seemed to lose power. Like it had no boost. I changed gears and tried to accelerate, it wasn'...

Karl you little legend, thanks a lot!

I recorded a video of mine (jubilee clips are because I had it off yesterday) seems it needs changing?

I'll get them ordered and let you know when I've done it - any tips? https://vimeo.com/166626870

Re: Braking issue - hard pedal when pumping

Is the tandem pump the one on the side of the head at the back? If so I took the black pipe off that goes to the servo and the metal pipe that comes out of it was wobbly - has a flange on the end so the rubber pipe to the servo stays on?

Braking issue - hard pedal when pumping

Hey guys, Got a b5.5 2004 1.9 TDi - only had it a couple of months, done some research on here but can't find the immediate answer. Basically if I pump the brakes (while idling) the pedal gets hard, if I wait it becomes softer again, if I Rev it becomes soft straight away. So I'm thinking vaccum lea...

Hey guys, sorry been busy paying with the mk1 golf - the Passat is getting some love (because it needs some more than wanting too!) Had to do outer CVs reet pain in the bum on the drivers side but got there in the end. Currently got a braking issue, brakes going solid after a few pushes, but worryin...

Re: Brake servo and Master Cylinder Change 2002

Hey Dave, old thread again! How did you know this needed changing? I have an issue where if I pump the brakes while stationary (engine idle) pedal is going hard - assuming I have a vacuum leak, possibly caused by rust in the servo / master cylinder? Ive checked everywhere else and can't find a leak ...

I only just got the Passat, most of my stuff is mk1 golf related, but I'll do some occasional bits on the rat no doubt:

Newbie from Manchester

Hey ladies and gentle friends, I've just bought myself an estate, TDi 130Bhp Highline, it was my friends for the last 8 years, I needed a daily as I just took my mk1 cabby off the road for a full resto, not sure what I'm gonna do it to the Passat yet to be honest, I'm gonna hit it with the lowering ...
