couple of questions as i am still new to passats , what size are the front discs ? are they 288 mm ? i had a vr6 before and was looking into the 312 mm upgrade and on a golf it was fairley straightforward , mine was an early one so i needed to get later obd 2 calipers (from 288 mm disc size) or mk4 ...

i would agree with the sold as seen line , i would also add be a bit careful with the helping out side of things bit harsh to point out but be careful you dont end up inadvertantly giving him something he could use against you , but do agree to damage something in 2 weeks he has not respected it.

was looking at these myself , as def like the one piece set up , was also thinking down the lines of changing the strip light bulb/led to some amber led's for an indicator , if you get em before i do post up what qualitys like :)

true i spose , if i can get me tig welder then may be tempted then at least i can make up bits that i would need rather than buying them , but a bit excessive to by a new tig to save a few quid on parts lol , but a good excuse for a birthday prezzie lol

mines a jan 2000 B5 so must be start of changeover def got a sensor had a look behind headlight and its sits in pipe/intercooler on top left of intercooler as you are looking into engine bay.

just after peoples thoughts on oil as i went to vw yesterday to get oil and filter and was told that they still list the synta silver for a 1.8T so went away with 5 litres and a filter , upon reflection however and reading all the bits about oil sludge and the like and also the fact that every other...

On my way back from VW this morning come across a chav in a new mini cooper S , the usual pushing right up behind trying to hassle you, just before some dual carriage way had to pull out and round a cyclist and he thought he would be clever and pull up the inside of me :mad: so get to some red light...

just my 2p worth but in ref to tesco fuel , i had a fueling issue with my mK3 vr ended up being a pump relay but during solving the problem i had the pump out of tank and found small metal particals in tank (plastic tank) i had been using tesco fuel since i bought her as it was close but after that ...

Thanks all , well picked her up and omg :0 what a drive home, smooth comfortable and economy what a difference from a Mk 3 golf, everything works so far as well no probs with comfort module so bonus there but will be checking the usual that i have read about just in case, any other pointers you guys...
