Ive a b5.5 AVB 100hp thats been mapped by Simon to 130ish with egr delete.

I noticed the flexi joint between the turbo and cat is blowing so......

Is it worth a decat ?
Cutting in a new flexi joint ?
Or buying another front pipe with cat ?

I found the bushes today

Going to try and book it in next Saturday to a garage not far from me with the Hunter alinement, see what it's at and if it can be fixed or needs these bushes.

Fronts are the worst.
Rears not so much.

Only the tracking and steering wheel straightening was done as that's all they could do so it's not had a 4 wheel alinement.
Is there anything to adjust on the rear ?

Yes the strip can be pulled off and replaced with a new black one from TPS as I had to do this when I had to source a second hand silver drivers door for my trendline due to a bloke reversing into it !!

I bled the brakes manually last weekend and its sorted it.
Had a little air in the rears.

Could have blocked drains under the battery stopping the water escaping.

Have you removed the scuttle panel and checked for any water around the battery area ??

Low a/c gas normally hisses through the vents......

B5.5 on a 55 plate.

Found the noise is the EGR !!!
Cover the two oilly breather holes and the knocking noise goes also if you remove the vacuum pipe on top of the valve.

So egr delete and remap I guess to fix it......

Ive had another listen and I can make the noise by tapping the throttle pedal just enough to raise the engine and knock noise sounds. Doesnt seem to do it under any load ie headed window, lights or turning the steering wheel. Did also notice it will sometimes do it when turning the engine off. Seems...

Its a avb 100hp wagon with 5 speed box
Done 183,500 miles and ive got no paperwork for clutch or dmf change and looking at it yesterday the bell housing bolts hadn't been touched and both clutch and dmf were orignal.

The noise is the same at idle or taking up drive and moving off.

I understand this if in motion but the noise is there at idle, out of gear, clutch pedal up and handbrake applied.........

So I've had a knocking noise from what I suspected was the gearbox area that happens when lifting the clutch pedal is first and pulling away, also the same can be heard in reverse and at idle. So lastnight I changed the dmf and clutch (both LUK) The dmf was knackered as it moved up/down and side/sid...

I have bought genuine wings but remove the foam insert as this holds the water and rots the wings out.
