Hi-frank bullit) yes my boot opens automatically wide open with the key but wont close back down again with the key fob.. i cant see any buttons or anything to press on the car boot that would automatically close it.. the key fob wont bring it back down so i have to use my hand.. i was just wonderin...

hi all, just recently bought a passat 2.0 tdi se buisiness 150ps 67 reg..and the boot opens with the key fob but doesnt close with it, i have to close it by hand,and was wondering is this normal? or should the key close it as well..its under warranty but want to make sure before i head to VW-thanks ...

ctp..yes i will have to..im pretty sure that light misting as VW call it ,is an advisory on mot so they are not being fair i reckon.

hi all..just got my car back from VW today regarding my shock absorber..when inspected they said it was light misting on the shock absorber which is normal?..i said the shock rubber boot is wet? how can this be normal..VW mechanic said they are normal it will pass MOT and not to be alarmed!the other...

mindriot..thanyou that makes sense VW did tell me buying them singular wasnt a problem so i went with that,its booked in this week at VW for inspection so i will update after inspection.

hi gaz..my point being is 10.000 on the failed one and 3 times now its been changed suggests somethings not right,ive done other stuff myself incremently ie bushes etc when worn new tyres obviously..and if the left shock failed me it would be done also but it hasnt..im only concerned with the right ...

135000 now..and to replace everything as perscribed shocks springs brakes and so on is nonsense i wont listen to it..id have to be rockefeller.

the other shock absorber on the left is the original from when the car was made in 2010 and is bone dry and in perfect condition..no need whatsoever to replace its like new.

im not sure if the garage primed them or not..is that really relevant ?

how much does remapping cost for egr?

hi thanks for the reply..yes genuine parts from VW..my local indy puts them on for me alot cheaper than VW..just thought there may be different sizes or something that look the same..about 10,000 miles if im lucky so somethings not right,im hoping VW will replace it even tho they never put it on the...

You need to release the pipe from the manifold to get it out. Not an easy job to do compared with older models.
