Hi folks.I am currently looking at a 2009 2.0 tdi passat estate.There is a good service history,timing belt done in 2017 no fuel or oil leaks etc.Can anyone advise me of any problems with this model.the mileage is 120k.

Many moons ago my old shogun had the same problem.It turned out it was the rear heated window was always on.Found out one morning when the whole car was frozen apart from rear screen even though switch was off.

Currently averaging a fortnight a gallon.

Thanks for the reply.Would the flap coming loose have caused the limp mode and warning or is this just a coincidence?

Hi folks. Just a quick question about the Egr valve on my 2005 1.9 ti estate.At the weekend it went into limp mode and came up with emissions Workshop.So this morning I took off the Egr valve and the butterfly flap was loose inside.i have ordered blank plates but in the meantime put everything back ...

Just fixed the same problem myself with two vacume hoses and cleaning egr valve.

Thanks for the replies folks.it is unlocking just won't open from outside.i've been busy at work today will have more time tomorrow in daylight to have a proper look.

Been having a problem with the drivers door not opening from outside. It's fine from the inside and there is a clicking sound when operating the key fob.i gave it a soak in wd40 but still no change.Anyone with any ideas what to try next?
