Re: Audi A4 b7 overboost
Okay thanks for the supply, is there a way to clean the vanes with turbo in situ or does it need to come out?
How successful would a clean be or is it more likely to need a full re-condition or replacement?
Also is there any other common causes that could be checked/tested for overboost ?

Lumpy idle
Just a quick one guys, my car feels lumpy on idle but more so when cold can feel the car shaking slightly, could this be a cause of the swirl flap oil leak issue I have going on? Or are these engines known to be slightly lumpy on idle. It is more you can feel the car shake when idling and it's quite...

Re: Swirl flap actuator
Can anyone give rough costs? I've been doing abit research and it seems the inlet manifold is all plastic and seems to be expensive.
Does that need changing with the actuator which is what they originally have said that the actuator is leaking .

Swirl flap actuator
Further to my thread about the p0299 fault I have it has had the solenoid changed with no result. However it was back in today and the swirl flap actuator is leaking oil and now needs replacement could this be the culprit of my fault code or could it just be another fault which needs sorting anyway?...

Re: Read air bag
That's great thanks, it's mainly due to advice I was given about the dog guard which I've started another thread for. They said it had gaps in the side to allow for the air bag, and on first inspection of the car it didn't look like air bags were in that area.
Thanks for the diagram

Dog guard
Any of you b6 estate owners have dogs? I'm looking for a tighter fitting dog guard which would Cover from window to window in the boot, I had purchased the "car specific" travall dog guard however this still left large gaps that my King Charles could fit through

Re: B6 estate towbar
Also do you have a link to the Thule towbar you have fitted? Did you fit the kit yourself and does it come with the electric kit?
If so does your electric kit power the fridge etc on caravans? Or would this be an additional kit

I've just looked on the link you provided, shows no known recalls for my VIN, does that mean they are most likely been carried out?
Re: Dash cam
Unlike the look of the next base, do you know of that can be hardwired or Is it just with the power lead? I mean I realise the lead could be cut and wires in permanently but does it come with a harness for doing so? Quite confident with the wiring as I'm an electrician
