Glad to hear others are getting what I'd consider a fair price.

That's quite good bertc. Whose that with? Comparison sites arent really helping. Direct Line wanted over £2k which is probably more than double what the car is worth.
Think I may call & haggle.

The cheapest quote I can find for a VW PASSART 2.0 TDI (06 plate) is £750.
I think that is pretty ridiculous.
Just wondering what others pay?

How difficult is it to fix yourself? I'm a complete novice ..

Thanks, this is with reference to a 55 plate saloon.
I followed the log book and located the fuses on the driver side (Door open). I didn't realize there was another compartment.

Neither the front dash or rear lighters work which is a nuisance for long journeys and not being able to use satnav.
Both fuses seem fine, so what else could be causing this issue ?

I also have a temperamental boot locking mechanism. The cold winter weather seems to affect it more. I've not actually looked into getting it resolved but would also appreciate some responses on here.
