it is was the yellow plastic bit you snapped then i think ull be ok to drive to to the dealer and get a new one(about £6) i bunged mine with a stick and did a few miles like it lol

if its a 1.6 petrol then i really wouldnt bother.I had one untill recently and the fuel consumption is a nightmare.

I would make sure your car does have remote central locking first before you shell out for a key fob.Not all passats have RCL

check in the boot near the boot light...its kind of hidden unless you lay in the boot and look up

would an warn anti roll bar linkage cause the car to sit lower? the front drivers side wheel arch seems lower than the rest...or to put it another way it looks like 1 of my shocks has been lowered lol

yeah i agree its getting on a bit but it getting dangerous now,its really under steering and had a near miss with a lorry the other day.It used to handle really well but over the past year its gone downhill

im starting to think it maybe the suspension joints that have gone as the drivers side squeels when i turn the steeering wheel.

would it effect the tracking aswell if the anti roll barks links have gone?

my car is handling like a pig,when i turn the car rolls more than it turns and im getting alot of understeer because of it.also the car feels very unstable and rocks like a boat and speeds above 50MPH

my mate has been quoted £40 buy the dealer plus £70 for a fob.as i manged to source a fob somewhere else for £10 he may aswell go to the dealer and get it done as hes already saved quite a bit.

have you got R/C/L? if so then it shouldnt make a differance as the doors will lock/unlock via the fob
