Ok all rebuilt and she runs! the turbo seems ok aswell actually, not been for a run yet.
Im slightly concerned, it turns over by hand ok but when starting it seems there is resistance in turning over, its fine once its started.
I think one of the gears might be over tightened?

Excellent, cheers mate I was following your guide to remove it :D . I have one slight issue, I couldn't remove the crank pulley so couldn't lock the cams at TDC. My impact wrench was low on battery and I had limited tools on me. Best bet I would guess is to buy the balance shaft locking tool? and th...

Its the geared version, all the gears look fine.
I've not got the balance shafts out yet to look at the shells on them either.

Hello all!, Require some opinions on my parents b6 (2.0L BKP), its on 158k and the balance shaft went. My parents thought it was low oil, and managed to add at least 5L plus to the engine! it was then driven 1.5 miles to the garage though, the garage then drained the oil and replaced the oil pressur...
