Re: Plenum drains blocked - a helpfull guide.

well I picked up my B5.5 yesterday (thread and pictures to follow) - in the dry, and sure enough this morning its peeing it down so seemed an ideal time for a nose around. I can immediately see the plenum is dry - as I expected it would be seeing it only had its cambelt done yesterday before I conne...

Re: Plenum drains blocked - a helpfull guide.

Looks to be about £36 for the new housing and filter..... is still best to go ahead and change the housing even if its dry in there?

Re: Plenum drains blocked - a helpfull guide.

Hi, I've been reading this in preparation to make it one of the first jobs to do - admittedly I haven't read all 318 posts (yet, about 6 pages in so far) but can anyone tell me what size sealing cord to buy for the pollen filter? ...also the location of the rear b5.5 estate sunroof drain nipples? Re: awx vs avf?

thanks.... more torque, that'll do nicely. I thought as much on the wikipedia page - right after the very brief, stupid (and heart stopping moment) that someone had done a conversion :)

awx vs avf?

Re: buying advice

excellent thank you.... also have watched a few videos about the pollen filter - usually coupled with not being able to get the wipers off to pull the tray up it would seem.

is the ccm(ecu?) on the otherside?... and plenum?

Re: buying advice

great.... i read about VW505.01 spec oil?

is there a recommended grade for engine and gearbox?

the turbo and cambelt were done by vwauditec.co.uk who looked to know their stuff and farmed the turbo oveehaul to midland turbos
