Re: Passenger Door Intermittently Not Unlocking

There are loads of threads and similar issues on here bud. Have a search using the search function. More often than not it's probably a new loch mech that's required. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk thanks, I did take a search but didn't see anything specifically related to the B5 - I thought ...

Hi, Been awhile since I've been on but as expected its a cry for help thats brought me back... Unlocking with the fob I'm finding that my passenger door of my 2004 B5.5 Estate is intermittently not unlocking, of course the first thing I do is lean over and use the internal handle which when pulled m...

Re: Door Hinge Bolt Fitment?

my stubby set turned up today that I can squeeze in door jamb likewise it said spline but is actually triple square/xzn - thankfully that's what I wanted. I quite like Bergen/US Pro for the price so was looking for the set id potentially get the most use out of for the cheapest price. https://www.am...

Re: Door Hinge Bolt Fitment?

Thanks, I don't see how they could of hammered it in as it would have originally been against the chassis but when I looked at the rear doors they were defiantly multipoint. Annoyingly none of my current sets are have enough clearance do to the job anyway so have just ordered a stubby set of torx an...

Re: Door Hinge Bolt Fitment?

Just tried a T45 in my current door and was much better..... think the person who removed the eBay door just minced the head, however im going to need some different Torx bits as mine are too long :(

Door Hinge Bolt Fitment?

Hi,

Got my replacement door but now I'm struggling to see what bolt pattern they are....... T45 doesn't fit and T40 is too loose.

I've read that VW use XZN/Triple Square but it only has 6 points?

Tyre Choice for Estate (Load Rating)

Hi, This is my first time buying tyres for an estate and I mainly got the car to haul camping gear once a year and the car is maxed out in the boot, 4 people, dog and a roof box - potentially a trailer also(!). I'm thinking I should be going for the heavier load rated tyres (95) - does that seem ove...

So, just pulled up somewhere and noticed a puddle under the car. Pictures are truly terrible but best i could get laying on the floor and cant find how to increase the bightness on the phone. Fluid appears clear and has no odour so im ruling out fuel, oil - possibly coolant also as (at the moment) t...
