Sounds like the caliper has seized or the slide pins are rusted and stuck.
Inner pad is the one that goes first in cases like this and you can't see that one with the wheel on.
Refurb or replace and a new set of pads on the front.
No software required.

After charging it let it stand for an hour and then check the voltage.
A full battery should how 12.6v or even more.

Battery is dead well as good as at that standing voltage time for a new one i think.
A charger on a healthy but low battery should show around 14v mine does.
