FK JOM or Hot Tuning Coilies??

As Above, Can't afford £200+ Coilovers but I know a lot of you use the above,
Which would you recommend or suggest for reliability/ride comfort I have lowered on shocks & springs but not on coilovers, how does the ride differ?

Thanks guys
Chris

Horses for courses i suppose, I'll see how it lasts & keep you updated.
I know for a fact there are more expensive polishes & waxes out there, I was looking at the collinite stuff but decided to give it a whirl.

Re: POSSIBLE CCM GRIEF / WATER DAMAGE

I had a lock issue a while ago, turned out to be a broken spring in the mechanism, it's a common fault & an easy fix, the spring is light & just helps the catch return around the striker, it then locks into place.
Check the lock there should be some resistance not much, but some.

Re: metal polishing...alloy wheels

I've dabbled with aluminium polishing, done a few golf Mk2 bits. You can achieve a descent polished finish but it does take some elbow grease, Basically depending on the texture of the item being polished start with course sand paper & work down to fine, then onto Brasso. I had some good results...

Re: front suspension arms replacement walk through

Could have done with this 6 weeks ago!! the only real pain is the dropping of the rear subframe, the rest is pretty easy, just make sure you have a big hammer to hand (you'll need it)

£25 for these beauties
I had to pick them up from a little village in Buxton but well worth it, I've just painted 2 with silver paint & laquer I'm gonna do the spokes in Matt Black, I think it'll look good, if not I'll spray them all silver.

Brake light switch

Over the week I had a few lights coming on my dash. The ABS & ESP light came on then after a day or so the Glow plug light & 'STOP' Engine workshop came on the the MFD. A bit of investigation turned out to show it was the Brake light switch at fault. A trip to ECP got a replacement light swi...

Exactly, you feel much more connected to the car, steering, pedal, gear change all feel in a word, better.

Take note Mr new car designer, it doesn't all have to be smooth & refined, it's not the way forward

Re: Mufflrectomy???

Some people just do the rear box, which is supposed to release 6 BHP ! The centre box is huge, like a suitcase! i think that would make a big difference if that was removed. is the pipe 2.5" OD??
