Is My Starter on it's way oot?
On a few occasions when I have gone to start my car, I turn the key & it won't start, I here a clicking at the engine but no starter, I'll return the key to off position & try again, it's fine. A few days ago I had to do this twice. But it did start on the third try. Car is B5.5 TDI Any help...

I Mr muscled my Turbo today, took a couple of hours for soak time, I also cleaned the EGR. The Turbo was easy just a case of removing EGR pipe & spraying the oven cleaner into the turbo. I used some 3mm clear tubing & pushed onto the bare valve, ensure you buy oven cleaner where the valve st...

Hi Guys My AWX B5.5 has developed a problem, in the morning when accelerating up a long straight 70-80mph all power disappears as if the bost has been cut, I'll pull up stop the engine & restart & it's fin. No lights on dash or anything. Then on the way home after 20-30 seconds the car shake...

The flexi bit on my down pipe has split so it looks like a new downpipe & cat, which got me looking at De-cat pipes.
I understand that the MOT doesn't check for Emissions on a TDI, but will de-catting give an emissions light on the dash?

I had one on mine for a few years but it eventually fell apart.
It does give a nice sound though, which I miss. So........ any idea on this size or am I gonna be Blanked!

EGR delete only works with older B5.5 (up to 2003) 2004 models have the function as part of the ECU so throws a Emisions light cos no EGR gas flowing. Reducing the amount of EGR gas keeps the sensor happy & reduces the cack going into the engine. & clogging up the Intke part of the system

Egr deleting is very effective, but if you have a late 2004 b5.5 tdi you're likely to get a light on your dashboard unless you get the egr written out.
