Not exactly sure where it's on your engine, but basically it's on sensor with 4 wires, two giving signed to gauge, other two to ECU, so basically 2 sensors in one. Usually on vag engines sensor is on left side of cylinder head. Somewhere in coolant pipe/flange. There are 2 coolant temp sensors, one...

Yes. Another thing to check is coolant temperature sensor. Again ideally with vcds when engine is cold, left overnight, coolant temperature reading should be the same as ambient temperature (couple degree difference is possible) if it's showing something else, your ignition timing is getting set wr...

Cheers dude.. I thought when temp sensors go the cause the gauge to fluctuate up and down is that not always the case ?

2007 bkp flat spot driving me mad.
Hi folks. Newbie here. I have recently bought a Passat bkp 2007 130k. I have a intermittent flat spot/hesitation when is cold more so in 2nd and 3rd around 1700-2100rpm. This tends to stop when the car is up to temp. It's had injector recall.. timing belt.. new fuel pump in tank. Full service 2 days...
