Re: Cambelt tensioner moved to right after fitting
Took picture of when engine is running. Anyone confirm this is ok? Should it move back at with engine on? Maybe settling in but not sure. Just within the mark. Cheers

Cambelt tensioner moved to right after fitting
Followed all processes for fitting new cambelt and water pump. On running the engine for 3 mins the tensioner pointer has moved to the right. Should I be worried? Thanks.

Hose to help Power steering flush or do people use bung?
Do people make own bung when doing power steering flush for the return connection or any links for as cheap as possible hose to help me, that will fit. Cheers. Probably do bung route but if there is a hose for less than a fiver etc

Will go for long drive later. One hiccup, mislayed the larger spring clip of the 'speed sender wiring an...

Re: Quoted 1k for Clutch and DMF so its DIY!
Got it back in. That bleed nipple was a right pain as I found access was limited to get a good big turn on the spanner to open. Ended up getting it open and then do the bleed by using fingers to open close. Once finished I did it up proper with a ratchet. I would say to others when fitting a new sla...

Re: Quoted 1k for Clutch and DMF so its DIY!
So what's the trick in getting slave back on as struggling.....just brute force to compress into bell housing? Very difficult. Am doing Bolt through bracket then Slave then screw in. Took cap of reservoir but not really helped. Cheers. Deleted bit about opening bleed nipple or using screwdriver in h...

Re: Quoted 1k for Clutch and DMF so its DIY!
Gearbox finally on. Mobile mechanic done and for some reason it took 4hrs to bolt on and put mounts on. He struggled loads getting it in pilot bearing and questioned if I put in right size. Eventually got on using my cut down threaded rod in two holes either side and carefully used impact rachet on ...

Re: Wheres the Starter Motor relay fuse?
Bit gung ho with taking things apart me! Bought a decent multimeter and yes that cable has continuity. Took Starter Motor out and followed youtube video to bench test it. Hooked jumper cables to it and did the screwdriver thing to form a connection between ignition point and jumper lead 12v. Solenoi...

Gearbox oil change using top nut
Got my gearbox out at moment. Assume I can use the top opening to put new oil in and wait for it to come out of side filling hole? Side hole looks and bit tight for hose and could drip when filling. Cheers.
