Thanks all - the knob was in the middle position so once I set it to L, the feature works as expected.

I took delivery of a Passat SEL in March. I'm very happy with it. One thing I've noticed is that the wing mirrors don't lower when I select reverse gear (it's an automatic). In the settings there's a "Lower mirrors when reversing" setting, which is ticked. I've tried unsetting this and set...
