VW advised me (2.0 petrol) the cambelt is every 80k or 4 years. I had mine changed at 80k but at a VW-AUDI specialist... Dealer quoted me 50% more.
As for the oil change, synthetic oils have a much longer life spam than traditional oil. 5k seems a bit short.

They seem to have a good reputation, much better than Halfrauds when it comes to paint quality.
This scratch repair seems to be the best choise.

I just remembered a similar problem with my sub on the old car. The alternator was dying and the battery wasn't charging properly. Every time I was switching on the engine, the sub’s amp (300W) was switching off with the same “hard†sound you mentioned. It was switching back on once the engine...

I guess the power cut-off is done by some safety circuit inside the unit that is sensing a fault or a power surge sowhere. The 3 second delay could be the initialisation time for the unit. I would try to isolate the problem by disconectig one by one, the conectors at the back of the unit. That is if...

The Eibachs are jsut great. In my opinion, they made the ride even more comfy that the stock springs. Eibach's are only 30mm drop though. I've researched changing them myself and it looks pretty straight-forward if you've got the right tools. The cost of tools and lack of experience with such things...

Rocker cover gasket replacement for 2.0 petrol
I've been told there is a leak from the rocker corver and the gasket should be replaced. I've been quoted £85 + parts for this job and I was wondering is this something I can do on my own? Do you know any guides / tighneting sequence / torque settings or should I just let the professionals handle i...

[RECOVERED] - Feeler - Breaking B3 GL
Ryan s Well after my whirlwind trip to get the GL, it looks like it will be broken before rather than after the summer Shocked . I bought it to use as my daily for the summer, with a view to using the engine for a conversion into my rocco. At this point I planned to get a diesel VW – probably pas...
