ABS Module coding

Hi I Had to replace the whole ABS unit on my 1999 B5, had the dreaded abs light and beeping. Have fitted a replacement part, which I bought from BBS Reman. I am now having trouble finding someone to code the replacement unit to the car. I presume VW would be able to do it? Does anyone know of a code...

Hi Adjusters have broken on my Hella projectors, so looking at some after market ones as genuine are so expensive, if you can still get them? where can I source some Depo or the like? I don't want angel eyes, just standard looking projectors for my B5. Thanks in advance Steve Meant to say must be go...

Re: Snapped seat adjuster - failed MOT - Please help?

Does the seat lock in place? Or is it moving backwards and forwards with a loose handle? ie: doesn't lock in place? My B5 would not lock in position. I undid the seat bolts, left the airbag connected and tipped it back to see what was going on. I also thought it was a broken cable, but turned out to...

Headlights

Hi I have fitted Genuine Hella Headlights which I believe are projectors? (Not sure what the difference is between HID and projector?) I run standard bulbs on both dip and high beam. My problem is the lights are not very good on dip beam. I think the lens must detract from the bulb! I adjust them up...

Re: OEM trim parts?

I've gone to the dealers now. Over a hundred for the three part primed front bumper/number plate inserts.
I searched for ages, can't believe there aren't any non franchised suppliers of OEM parts left!

OEM trim parts?

Anyone know where I can buy some OEM front bumper inserts & numberplate holder primed for painting for a B5?
Just wondered if they can be sourced cheaper than a main dealer!

Re: headlight projector problem

I had a similar problem after I bought a set on fleebay. Turned out the part that the up & down adjuster was attached too had snapped half way down. I split the headlamp & glued a drill bit into the two halves that had broken, it was hollow fortunately. But you may be lucky & it's just p...

The part number on my drivers side net optic is: 3B2 867 172C.
I have a net optic ashtray available.
I'd be interested in the 3 passenger door handle trims in walnut. Got everything else!

Re: Locking wheel bolts?

Yeah thanks Matt.
I already have the original RS6 lockers. But I'm running 5mm spacers at the mo, so want longer ones.
Incidentally, the RS6 bolts are exactly the same as oem VW alloy bolts.

Re: Champions League Final

Barca where absolutely brilliant. Made *** utd look very ordinary. They out played & most importantly out psyched the team & manager that like to play mind games with the opposition & the ref! It seems to be all about getting them to spit their dummy, just like Fulham managed to do!

The scuttle cover number is slightly different to yours. The part number is from my invoice that gave me the round master cylinder hole.
