Re: E-Gay rip of merchants

I've had this twice before. They waivered the first. Second time I drove to the guys house after they refused to drop the bill but did the same thing as they have to you, pay £49. The winning bidder for the same item the 2nd time round had ignored my "please don't bid unless you have the money...

Service/Insp reminder on milage clock. B5

Just wondered if there was any way to reset this. Always tends to be the little things that bother me the most.

Is it a VAGcom jobbie to reset it or do I need to use a key, stalk sequence?.

Thank ya very much in advance. :-bd

OBD2 Vagcom and scan tools work. The 16 pin plugs that fit into the slot under the rubber under the handbrake. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51gLqmqGZ4L.jpg&imgrefurl=http://dealnay.com/707088/elm327-usb-obdii-obd2-diagnostic-scanner-vag-com-can-elm-...

Specific paint codes for the B5.

Hi all. Today I had 3 smelly pikeys in a van, reverse into the o/s of my front bumper. After denying all knowledge and watching me screaming "no" and holding my hands in my head while they did it, they offered to fight me for it. Not fancying having my head smashed in by 3 6ft 5in fat b&qu...

Re: b5 v6 syncro exhaust?

JK, how long ago was that buddy?

I'm really intrested in getting an exhaust for mine. Did they need to take your car in for measuring?

Some of the performance exhaust companies out there only sell 1/3rd of the exhaust for the same price as you got.

Air con pump to supercharger. Is it possible?

Just curious, I know I've asked about performance upgrades for the V6 Syncro B5. I also know that it is cheaper to plonk a 2.7T lump into it instead. I'm more curious about the aircon pump/pulley. Is there a supercharger out there that could be used for this engine or is it a shadey area because it'...

Insurance company not willing to pay up because of drunkeness surely means that he was driving without insurance and should spend his last 50 years being destroyed by men in prison? If being drunk means no insurance payouts, means no insurance cover. Can't be covered but not payout. They are insurin...

VR6 golf to a V6 syncro B5

Well, I spent £7.5k in a year sorting out a Mk3 Golf VR6 to keep it running, and that is all I spent the money on. Discounts with the VR6oc also in this spending spiral. Always breaking and always expensive.... not tarnishing all of them with the same brush of course. Spent over 5 months of that ti...

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't know about the rear diff. I know when idling, trannys tend to turn slightly.

Hope it isn't a major issue with the car..... expense I mean.

B5 V6 syncro. Whine from rear.

Howdy doody. Bought a Passat on monday. Started engine tonight and with the engine running, a whine started up too. It disappears with a slight press on the throttle. But when the revs drop, the whine re-appears. I'm not familiar with Syncro vehicles and just wandered if the whine could be the petro...

Wheel size for B5 V6 syncro

Many many apologies to you all, I'm looking for the standard size.

What can be managed without forfeiting handling or too much acceleration.

In short, what's a good compromise?
