no m8 its like the standard one took us 1h to get old one out , and 1h to get the new one in its recomended to get bigger intercooler with it so i did get FMIC fitted as well

Is that the BV43 turbo? if so how is the spool up compared to the PD130 one? also if you have a remap, will it give a negative effect because the old remap is tuned for the standard turbo, not the uprated one as they havent different boost points

Sounds like a wise idea matey, if you do get hungry for a bit more than standard, then a remap (bearing in mind about 250-300) would be your best money spent but don't go hunting for anymore because its too difficult

entirely up to you but definatley worth calling the dealers to find out their price first to compare, intercoolers should be quite popular at scrappies and Ive always put enquiries in to places like 247spares just to find out how much other places will sell them for

What Passat did the Ko3s come on? I thought it was only GOlfs and seats that it came on, not passats, in which case it wouyldn't fit due to a one piece turbo/manifold and outlet ports being in a different direction?

It is possible, as mentioned by yourself the wiring is slightly different and they have a different amopunt of bolts so you will need some kind of adapter easy enough to make yourself think there is a guide on here somewhere have a look in the How To section

From what I remember the very max achievable from a remap is about 12-15bhp a custom remap may see a few more, its not worth it really as 1.8T's go for virtually the smae price you be better off selling and buying a 1.8t or tdi, they're so much more tuneable.

Hiya, nice Passat. IMO the numberplate would looks miles better in original position unless you have a reason not to.

Just my opinion however, do you have any plans for it?

Be careful if you'r getting that Golf turbo for a Passat, the engines are mounted different ways meaning they have different fitments
