Fixed!
As you said, it was the fuse!
So, I've got to order a festoon LED for the middle of the 3 lights at the front. The one between the 2 map lights. Does anybody know what size it is?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Interior lights
Ok, I have a slight problem. I changed the front two map lights and all was fine, well I did find I need another festoon bulb! Anybody know what size it is? Anyway, I changed the 3 rear lights above the rear seats. As I was changing them I checked 2 worked, yes. Proceeded with the third and then tes...

Re: Interior lights
Hi Jaraz,
Thanks for the offer but I'll leave it. If they were installed I'd have had them turned in but I'm not that motivated to have them retro fitted and activated. Plus, im on the other side of the country haha!

Re: Interior lights
Thanks Imran. Looks like I have neither! I looked where you said and there is no footwell light in there, I can see a blank where I assume one would be fitted. I also looked at the bottom of the doors. The plastic is all red, no clear part so musn't have puddle lights either. Thanks for your help! N...

Re: Fitting HIDs - help asap!
I got them from Ray on here. Quite a few members have them fitted and they got good reviews so I took the plunge and got some. So easy to fit, I couldn't believe it.

Re: Interior lights
Ok thanks.
I've just been researching a little bit more and is it true I'd have to install the puddle lights? I thought they were already in, just needed activating.
Also, are there footwell lights in, or do I need to install those too?
Thanks,
Nick.

Interior lights
Hi guys, After some more help regarding the interior lights. I have 12 SMD LEDs ready to install in the car but I'm a bit miffed about the puddle lights (on the bottom of the doors) and the footwell lights. When do the footwell lights and puddle lights come on? Are they on from the factory or do I n...

Re: Fitting HIDs - help asap!
Spot on, thanks!
I read up about fitting HIDs and they all had those metal clips. When mine didn't I though there was a problem!
All fitted now, along with LED sidelights.
Really makes the car look more appealing and modern. Job well done!
Thanks again,
Nick.

Fitting HIDs - help asap!
I'm outside in the freezing cold fitting my HIDs and could do with some help! When I pull the headlamp bulbs out there doesn't seem to be that piece of metal you need to cut to fit the wires through. It's as though it's some kind of push fitting instead. Do I just push the HID bulbs into place or is...

Re: Thermostat change on bkp
I changed mine without removing it. However I did undo the left hand bolt and pull the bolt out as much as I could. It will hit the rad and you can't take it out fully. I then loosened the other one and swivelled the alt out of the way for access. Hope that helps! Nick This on your previous B5 or y...

Key Fob Signal Strength
I may or may not have a problem. One thing I've noticed about my B6 is the remote fobs distinctive lack of signal strength! I have to be within 2/3 metres of the car to activate it. Is this normal? I've changed the battery and still a weak signal. My B5.5 I could lock/unlock from about 50 metres awa...

I'm in work and was wanting to order some new blades.
Does anybody know the correct sizes?
Thanks,

VW corrosion guarantee
I was washing and waxing my new B6 today when I spotted a very small bubble in the front bottom of the read arch. The paint has not been broken so looks like the rust has got underneath somehow. Do you think the guarentee will cover this? Is it worth taking it to VE or just get it sorted myself? It ...

VCDS on B6
So I picked us my 2.0T FSi on Saturday and love it. What a step up from the B5.5!
Anyway, thought I'd run a scan using VCDS Lite and it just wouldn't connect.
What's the next step? Is there a version of VCDS Lite that works?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: MP3 on original SAT-NAV
Thanks Richard. I'd like to 10" sub in the boot and have spotted some nice custom made boxes that fit into one of the recesses in the boot. I think I'll be clutching at straws here but has the MFD2 got any pre-outs for an amp? If not I suppose I'd have to upgrade the HU and that would be costly...

MP3 on original SAT-NAV
I'm picking up my B6 on Saturday which has the original SAT-NAV installed. I'm not too sure which model it is however. My current HU has a remote lead which I plug a flash drive into. Is there anything available to connect to the OE SAT-NAV unit so I can still use the flash drive system? I believe i...
