58.9 mpg on the owners manual for my 05 awx. If i drive it at 60 on the mway I get very good mileage. I did 608 miles from Austria to Belgium, and i still had 1/4 tank left! All mway doing 60 mph.

If its a pd engine, 505.01 or 507 pd oil. I use 505.01 5w40. Hope this helps.

They have some clips either side of them. Better try the sides, they are quite sturdy and won't break that easy! Just use a thin flat screwdriver or a blade.

For the rears you have to get the proper tool. Its a screw/push type. Check the ebay.

Thanx a lot for the replies guys! Just wandering, is the blue smoke related to the 2t oil I've been puting in my tank? Im on my 4-th tank using the 2t. I put about 300 ml per tankfull. Thanx toonmania. But, theres a temp diference of more than 5 degrees! Also i forgot to mention, first thing In the morning when i start my car I get blue smoke for about 10 seconds and then white/steam kind of for a while! Cheers

I replaced the cts around 2 months ago for a green Febi one. Today morning checked on climatronicand it was showing 4c. Outside though was -1.5! Is that normal? Should I replace it? Cheers for any replies.

Im on my 3-rd tank using 2t. Its much quieter now, havent noticed any change in mpg but Ive noticed that when I start the car first time in the morning, there's blue-ish smoke coming out of the exhaust for a few seconds! Is it because of the 2t Ive been using or piston rings gone? Cheers for any sug...

Hi guys. When checked with ecp, I was told the top mounts suggested by crazy4alfa won't fit my passat? Mine is a b5.5 estate! Cheers.

Mine was in a febi box but nothing on the cts itself. Also, tonight as I was driving from work the temp was reading 86 at one point. Usually stays 88c. Cheers.

Hi guys! I replaced my cts and stat just before christmas. Cts was a febi one, although no part no stamped on it (from german autospares). Thermostat from gsf vemo brand. Before,the temp used to be around the 74-76 mark. Now between 87-89 (climatronic) but never 90. Is it normal? Also my mpg its aro...

Cliff81, so Brembo discs were not good! I've heard they're oem? My brakes need doing soon, and I'm split between Pagid or Brembo discs.

Wingz123, my estate has cruise control but I dont use it that often. When i got to Bari i was tired but my back was ok! I love long distances though! Last week drove from Wick back to Brum.

Very first post here! Every summer I do 1900 miles in 2 days! First day 1270 mls in 21 hrs including ferry to Dunkirk, second day 640 mls in 13-14 hrs. Last september i drove to Bari south Italy from Brum within a day.
