In Linux you can hide files by adding '.' eg .folder .ukpassats.txt

If the files are hidden rename the files and delete the . from the beginning of the filename

Some files are rared/zipped in Linux, if not then try as mentioned in the above post.

The car struggled to start again today but did eventually start, didn't need a jump start today. I have waved my hand inside the car again and popped my head into the car, the alarm went off as expected.

However my alarm did go off again and will check shortly if my car starts.

I went into Modules Central Conv and selected Adaptation (10). Drop down menu and selected Alarm Horn Adjustment, set a new value to 1 and the Channel changed to 13.

I assume my alarm will only sound once and not drain my battery throughout the night?

If so, don't I still have a problem somewhere?

I have gone with Marshall's Industries instead of Gendon. They offered a carry case and Saturday delivery for £5 more than Gendon. Hopefully will run a scan and something will pop up.

Yes the battery seems to be draining, I have jump started the car once already.

Is it a possibility the head unit may have affected the alarm? I was told it shouldn't make a difference.

I really do need VCDS. Can you possibly link me to the cable I will need? Think I may get my own cable and program now, i'm finding this car frustrating without it.
