I pod compatibility

Does anyone know which I pod/Classic/Touch generations are compatible with the 2015 model year B8's?
I have a 4th generation touch I use in my car (15 reg but 16 model GT) I purchased a 5th gen one which has the lightening connector and it is not recognised by the car, tried but couldnt find any info about it on the VW website, any info greatly appreciated
