replacing keys

Okay, so when i got the car i only got given the valet key. which has its problems.

does anybody know what it costs to get a new key (set of keys) cut and programmed for a b5 passat and where would be best to do it. I imagine a dealer is capable but can independents work their magic too?

I expect to be forking out £150+, please pleasantly surprise me
