Gutted eBay didn't accept bid on a set of wheels

I was watching a set of Audi Monoblock alloys and decided to bid on them. I thought my bid had gone through as it said you are the highest bidder. So I went to check if I'd won them after they had finished and it said they had ended with no bids so I'm well gutted at the moment. Although I've had a few issues with eBay over the last couple of weeks sometimes not working or just doing strange things.
